At Wee Folk Early Learning, we believe that early childhood is the foundation for lifelong learning. Our philosophy is centered around nurturing each child's natural curiosity, creativity, sense of well being, and individuality through play-based learning.
We offer a full-time Early Education Program designed to meet the childcare needs of families, while meeting the educational and developmental needs of the children in our care. We provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for your child to learn and grow.
Our newly renovated space is designed to provide a calm, comfortable and engaging atmosphere for children. We have a variety of sustainable and open-ended toys, tray work, art supplies and loose parts to encourage children's curiosity and creativity.
We place an emphasis on active and outdoor play, learning in and about nature, and creating connections to the natural environment. We spend time daily in the forest for further exploration of the natural environment to connect children to the environment and build the foundations of environmental stewardship. Our time spent in nature provides opportunities for connection, education, creativity, teamwork, exploration, endless open-ended play, and supervised risky play to develop balance, coordination and physical literacy.
We understand the importance of working together with parents to support each child's development. We view families as children's first teachers, and experts in their children. Our goal is to support the well-being of children in care by supporting the whole family and developing meaningful relationships with the families in our care. Our unique experience has offered us insight into the diverse needs of children and families, and how we can help support families in advocating for their children.
